Don the signature makeup and costumes of kabuki performers
One of the most distinct elements of kabuki theater is the elaborate makeup of the performers. At Komatsu Hikiyama Exchange Center Miyossa, visitors can experience wearing kabuki-style makeup for 20–40 minutes. They can then dress up in costumes from the famous kabuki play “Kanjincho” and take photos in front of a large festival float known as hikiyama. The center offers other experiences such as theater dancing and playing the shamisen.
