Brewery tours and tastings of Ishikawa’s local tipple
The history of sake brewing in Ishikawa traces back over 2,000 years. The prefecture’s sake is made using pure ground or spring water from areas such as Mt. Hakusan. Cold winters allow for slow fermentation and create smooth, high-quality brews. Local sake pairs especially well with local Ishikawa cuisine, called Kaga-ryori.
Several breweries offer guided tours and tastings.
