Ishikawa's first winery with sprawling vineyards
Noto Wine is Ishikawa's first winery, founded in 2004. Its vineyards are spread among the rolling hills of the town of Anamizu, drawing on fertile soil enhanced with oyster shells from the nearby bay. Nearly a dozen grape varieties are grown at the winery, including internationally famous varietals and local hybrids. Visitors can view the vineyards, watch parts of the production process, taste a range of wines, and buy some to take home.
